DC SCHOOL REPORT CARD METRICS DASHBOARD
This dashboard contains metrics on the DC school report card by student group and grade band, including those that count towards the calculation of the overall accountability score and others that are display only.
LAST UPDATE: December 2024 with data from OSSE report card raw data files that can be found here. Examples include math and reading growth, science achievement, graduation rates, chronic absenteeism, and teacher retention.
Welcome to the 2023-24 DC Report Card metrics dashboard. To use this dashboard, begin by making a selection from the metric filter at the top (for example, “Chronic Absenteeism” or “Four-Year Graduation Rate”). The dashboard will display statewide results by student group for the selected metric. The bottom half of the dashboard shows individual school results. You may select one or more schools to highlight by using CTRL+Click.
Our default student group view of school level results is set to "economically disadvantaged students" as the performance and improvement of those students is central to our mission. Thank you to OSSE for making the raw data available to power this dashboard. The OSSE resource page also includes additional technical documentation about how each metric is calculated. Whittier Elementary is the default school highlighted in the dash because the received the Boldest School award at this year’s DC Bold Schools celebration event.
To use this dashboard, begin by making a metric selection from the filter at the top and a selection for the student group focus for the bottom half of the dashboard. Additional details about dashboard elements below.
