NAEP Dashboards Overview

We created these interactive tools to allow policymakers, advocates, and members of the public to explore the NAEP data since 2003. The dashboards allow users to explore average NAEP scores for every state and participating urban district. Users can drill on subgroup performance and see how it has changed over time. Click on the images below to access the dashboards.

About the Dashboards

The EmpowerK12 NAEP dashboards utilize raw data available to export in chunks from the NAEP Data Explorer tool online.  The State Overview dashboard includes data from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The Urban District Overview dashboard includes data from participating district that test all students on NAEP as an evaluation tool.

NAEP, the National Assessment of Educational Progress, commonly referred to as the Nation's Report Card is a suite of assessments, administered in grades 4 and 8 in math and reading every two years. The benefit of the NAEP is the ability to analyze longitudinal results over time for states and participating urban districts.
