The educational improvement specialist is a new position and will play an essential role in helping us achieve our mission by working directly with teachers to develop their continuous improvement skills. Since teachers are the primary drivers of student success, it is critical that they are empowered to own their improvement journey – from determining changes they need to implement in their classrooms to evaluating success and spreading what they learned along the way. The specialist will expand upon our current continuous improvement work by facilitating educator improvement networks across the city. The specialist will report to Kristen Wolfe, EmpowerK12’s continuous improvement lead.

EmpowerK12 is looking for a strong undergraduate or graduate student to join our team as a summer intern. This position will primarily assist our team in providing data support to our local public-school partners. To do this, you will learn and perfect various technical skills such as data visualization in Microsoft Power BI as well as how to write and execute complex SQL queries. Our ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with data visualization, problem-solving abilities and communicates well. This position will report directly to Josh Boots, Executive Director.
